Abstract

One approach that teachers can use in the classroom learning process is the guided inquiry approach. Guided inquiry approach is a learning that involves learners to answer questions and then make experimental design to make conclusions in a guided manner. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the implementation of Guided Inquiry Approach to students of class VIIK materials Temperature and its changes. In detail the purpose of this study are (1) Describe the ability of teachers in managing learning activities by applying the Guided Inquiry Approach; (2) Describe the completeness of learning outcome indicators by applying the Guided Inquiry Approach; (3) Describe the learning outcomes of learners by applying the Guided Inquiry Approach; (4) Describe the learner's response to the learning activities by applying the Guided Inquiry Approach. This type of descriptive research. The subjects of this research are teachers (researchers) and students of class VIIK SMP Negeri 1 Kupang year lesson 2017/2018 which amounted to 35 students. While the instrument used in this study is the Observation Sheet Management Learning, Test Results Learning (cognitive, affective and psychomotor), Student Response Sheet Resume. Data collection techniques used are Observation, Test and Questionnaire Response Learners. Technique of analysis of research result that used is quantitative descriptive analysis include calculation of average score, proportion and percentage. Based on the results of a descriptive analysis, research data show that in general the application of the Inkury approach to social interactionsis good for material temperature and Changes in learners class VIIK SMP Negeri 1 Kupang to talling 35 learners. 1) The ability of teachers in managing learning activities by applying Guided Inquiry Approach which includes: learning device planning, learning implementation and learning evaluation planning is included in either category the implementation of learning and planning of learning evaluation is included in both categories with the average scores in a row are: 3.82; 3.87 and 3.70. 2) Indicators of Learning Outcomes (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) prepared completely as a whole because the proportion of mastery successively 0.86, 0.85, 0.92 exceeds the criteria of completeness of at least 0.75. 3) results studied physics learners class VIIK SMP Negeri 1 Kupang on the material temperature and Changes in overall satisfaction and an increase in the proportion of correct answers from 0.30 be 0.92 of 0.56, while for overall affective and psychomotor aspects complete with the mean proportions of 0.87 and 0.92 respectively. 4) Student response to the implementation of learning by applying Inquiry Guided Approach obtained a percentage that includes five aspects namely: preliminary activities 87% with excellent category, core activities with 84% categories very well , with 82% closing activity categories good, management time 82% categories with very good and 81% tof classroom atmosphere with excellent categories . So the total averages core obtained from the fifth aspect is 83% by category is very good.
