Abstract

The cooperative learning model of the Student Achievement Division (STAD) is learning by using small groups with the number of members in each group of 4-6 students who are diverse in ability, gender, and ethnicity. STAD consists of five main components, namely: (1) class presentations, (2) groups, (3) quizzes, (4) individual improvement scores, (5) group awards. The main idea behind STAD is to motivate students to encourage each other and help in completing the skills presented by the teacher. If students want their team to get a team award, they must help their teammates in learning the teaching material. The main problem in this study is how the results of the application of the learning model of the student teams achievement division (STAD) of the subject matter of heat and its displacement to the odd semester VIIE grade students of Kupang Middle School 12-201919? Specifically, it can be formulated as follows: 1) how is the ability of the teacher to manage learning by applying cooperative learning models of the student teams achievement division subject matter of heat and its displacement to students of class VIIE in the 2018/2019 academic year? apply cooperative learning model type student teams achievement division subject matter heat and displacement in class VIIE 2018/2019 academic year? 3) how the completeness of the indicators of learning outcomes of students by applying cooperative learning models of the type of student teams achievement division of the subject matter of heat and their displacement in class VIIE 2018/2019 academic year? student teams achievement division subject matter heat and its displacement in class VIIE 2018/2019 academic year ?, 5) how students respond by applying cooperative learning model type student teams achievement division subject matter heat and displacement in class VIIE 2018 school year / 2019? While for the purpose of the study is to describe the teacher's ability in the learning process, describe cooperative skills, describe completeness of learning outcomes indicators, describe learning outcomes and describe students' responses in applying cooperative learning models STAD type subject matter Calories and displacement VIIE SMP 12 kupang odd semester 2018/2019 school year. This research is a descriptive study, the research subjects are teachers and students of class VII E Kupang Middle School 12 of the odd semester 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 31 students. 4-step research procedure, namely; preparation, implementation, data processing and report making. Research instruments are: format of teacher's ability, observation sheet of student activities, test questions about learning outcomes, and questionnaire responses of students. The results showed that the ability of teachers to manage learning with the planning, implementation stages was categorized, cooperative skills, completeness of indicators of cognitive learning outcomes, completeness of student learning outcomes and students' responses to implementation including good
