Abstract

Discovery Learning The learning model is a model for developing Active Learning Style Learners to find themselves, to investigate itself, the results obtained will be loyal and long-lasting in the memory, will not be easily forgotten learners. With the discovery learning, learners can also learn to think and try to solve their own analysis of the problem at hand. This habit will be transferred in public life. The aim to be achieved in this study is to describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying the Learnig Discovery Model of the Simple machine subject matter to students in grade VIII C of the odd semester 5 of Kupang 5th School in 2018/2019. Which can specifically be formulated as follows: 1) Describe the ability of the teacher in managing learning by applying the Discovery Learning Model of simple machine subject matter to students of class VIII C in the odd semester of 5 Kupang Junior High School in 2018/2019. 2) Describe the completeness of learning outcomes indicators in learning by applying the Discovery Learning Model simple machine subject matter in students of grade VIII C odd semester 5 Kupang SMP 2018/2019 school year. 3) Describe the completeness of learning outcomes in learning by applying the Discovery Learning Model of simple machine subject matter to students of class VIII C in the odd semester of 2018/2019 academic year. 4) Describe the response of students to learning activities by Applying the Discovery Learning Model of simple machine subject matter to students of class VIII C in the odd semester of 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is descriptive research. Subjects in this study were educators (researchers) and students of class VIII C in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 5 Kupang in the 2018/2019 school year, totaling 30 students. Learning devices used in this study are as follows: Student Learning Materials (BAPD), Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), Learning Outcomes Grids (cognitive, affective, psychomotor). The techniques used in collecting data are observation, tests and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets for learning management, learning outcomes tests and student response sheets. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques which include average scores, proportions and percentages. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the application of the Discovery Learning model of simple machine subject matter to students of class VIII C Kupang Kupang 5 was optimal, namely: 1) The teacher's ability to manage learning in the planning, implementation and evaluation stages reached an average proportion of 3, 97, 3.77 and 3.88. 2) Completeness of cognitive learning outcome indicators with 14 question indicators reaching an average proportion of 0.84, affective indicators with 10 observed aspects reached an average proportion of 0.93 and psychomotor indicators with 3 observed aspects reached an average proportion of 0, 93. 3) Completeness of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes each achieved an average score of 0.91, 0.93 and 0.93. 4) The response of students with 17 aspects observed reached an average proportion of 68.05%. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers in the field of physics study can apply this discovery learning model to other appropriate subject matter.
