Abstract
Specifically, the problems of this research are: (1) How is the teacher’s competency in managing material elasticity main subject teaching on students class XI MIA1 of public high School 7 Kupang in implementing problem based instruction model? (2) How is the completeness of the learning result indicators of public school 7 Kupang Secondary students in the pplication of the problem based instruction model on material elasticity main subject. (3) How is the physics learning result of material elasticity subject in the implementation of the problem based instruction model? (4) How do the students of class XI MIA1 public school Kupang respond to the application of the problem based instruction model on material elasticity main subject? The objective of the study in general is to describe the result of the application of the problem based instruction model on Physics material elasticity main subject for the students class XI MIA 1 of Public high School 7 Kupang in the year 2018/2019. The specific objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the teacher’s competency in managing the teaching and learning process in the application of the problem based instruction model material elasticity main subject on the class XI MIA1 of public School 7 Kupang in the year 2018/2019. (2) To describe the completeness of the learning result indicators of public high school Kupang l class XI MIA1 in the application of the problem based instruction model on material elasticity main subject. (3) To describe the physics learning result of material elasticity main subject in the implementation of the problem based instruction model. (4) To describe the students respond to the application of the problem based instruction model on material elasticity main subject. This is a descriptive research. The subject of the research is class XI MIA1 students of Public high School 7 Kupang in the year 2018/2019. The number of students is 34 from Class XI MIA1 . To collect the data, the researcher used these techniques: observation, test, and questionnaire. For the instruments, the researcher used the Teaching and Learning Management Observation Sheet, the Student Learning Result Test and Student’s Respond Filler. The researcher then made a descriptive analyzes which included computation of average score, proportion, and percentage. Based on the descriptive and quantitative analyzes result, the research data showed that in general that the applicattion of teaching model problem based of calor main subject on the 34 th students of public high school Kupang class XI MIA1 is at the good level. 1) The Teacher’s competency in managing physics teaching on material elasticity main subject which includes: teaching planning, teaching implementation and teaching evaluation is good with the simultaneous score 3,96; 3,84; 4,00. 2) Learning result indicators which consist of ten product indicators and seven process indicators is a good on the whole with the average score of PIHB for the two tests is the same that is 0,83. 3) Students learning result on the whole is complete (product, process, affection and psychomotor) with the average proportion simultaneously: 0,75; 0,97; 0,99. 4) The students respond to the five aspects on teaching activities is average 97,26 percent.
