Abstract

This research aims to improve the quality of learning and learning outcomes of Natural Sciences (IPA) students of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang through practicum video media. This research is a kind of classroom action research with 24 students of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang Class XI IPA1 as research subjects. Data collection techniques using LKS workmanship and repetition. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis. Indicators of the success of this research are marked by increasing student learning outcomes, the average test results of learning and tests meet the Minimum Mastery Criteria, which is 75. The results showed that the use of practicum video media on subject matter chemistry reaction rates can improve student learning outcomes. Before taking action, the results of studying chemistry in the poko material reaction rates have not yet reached completion. This is evidenced based on data on the results of the last three years learning has an average below the Minimum Mastery Criteria 75. After taking action student learning outcomes on the subject matter the reaction rate is above or meets the Minimum Mastery Criteria which is 75. The completeness of learning outcomes with an average test score of 78.7 and an average test score of 82.23, the value of the final average is 80.46 and the percentage of students' learning outcomes is 95%. Gives meaning that the application of practicum video media on the subject matter of the reaction rate in SMA Negeri 7 Kupang Class XI IPA1 is considered effective.
