Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the composition, diversity of species and the community similarities of the woody plant in the Camplong Nature Park, Kupang. The method in research is the quadratic method that is placed in stratification along the main axis lines forming a bisect. In both fragments placed 30 plots for each fragment and the total of 60 plots. The size of each plot is 20 m x 10 m (200 m2 or 0.02 ha). Data analysis uses diversity indexes, importance value indexes, community similarity indexes, and test-t. The results showed that the species composition in Fragment A consisted of 39 species belonging to 24 families. In fragment B, there are 29 species that belong to 20 families. The index of the diversity of plant species in Fragment A is H = 0,293 (very low) and in Fragment B is H = 0,273 (very low. The dominance index in Fragment A is 0.642 and in Fragment B is 0.242. The similarity of Jaccard (ISJ) index between Fragment A and Fragment B is 0.244. The pairwise test-t results show that the diversity between Fragment A and Fragment B by α > 0.05 means that the diversity between the two fragments differs significantly. The conclusion of this research result is the level of diversity between fragments is different which is indicated by the wealth and abundance of individual species that are also not the same.
