Abstract
Abstract.A research of phytochemistry and free antiradical test content of sea grapes (Caulerpa racemosa) Etanol Extract from Menanga Tobo Beach, Sub-District Sabu Liae has been conducted. This research aims to determine the antioxidant capacity of sea grapes using the DPPH method. As much as 150 grams powderof sea grapes sample being extracted by masseration method using 70%ethanol for 3x24 hours, and it was obtained 21,91 grams extract with 14,60% yield.Then, the extract of the samples performed phytochemical analyseusing the result obtained data that the extract samples were positive contained alkaloids, flavonoids, triterpenoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. An antioxidant activity was determined used DPPH, measured by spectrophotometer UV-vis at 518nmof wavelength. The results of antioxidant sample analysis obtained IC50in the amounts 2858,16 ppm. The result indicated that antioxidant activity of etanol extract of the sea grapesclassified as a poor antioxidant.
