Abstract

Based on data on the achievement of targets for 2019, the strategic targets of the NTT Regional Police of Intekam for 2019 did not reach 100% or were not on target. This achievement is an accumulation of the performance or achievements of the work of each member of the NTT Police Intelligence and Security Directorate so that it can be said that there are problems in the performance of the members so that it affects the organization of the organization. The aims of this study are: 1) To describe the performance, work environment, training and competence of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara. 2) To determine the effect of the work environment and training on the competence of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara. 3) To reveal the effect of the work environment, training and competence of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara. This was a quantitative research. The sample in this study was all 81 police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara. SEMPLS was used to analyze the data. The results of descriptive analysis indicated that performance, work environment, training and competence of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara were good. This confirmed the first hypothesis. The results of inferential statistical analysis shown that 1) the work environment and training had a positive and significant effect on the competence of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara. 2) the work environment, training and competence of the police officers had a positive and significant effect on the performance of police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara 3) the variables of competence, work environment and training affected performance variable for 94.9% and work environment and training variables affected competence variable for 89.7%. Based on these findings, the researchers suggest the head of Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara to: 1) Improve the work environment at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara, especially in increasing the number of work equipment. 2) increase the training for police officers at the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Local Police Office in East Nusa Tenggara, by preparing a budget for training. 3) providing opportunities for police officers to improve their skills related to their duties.
