Abstract

Road is a path that aims to move objects (humans, animals, and goods) from one place to another, or it can also be interpreted as a link between one region and another, in this case the Aggregate as a compiler of the road structure highway has a very important role and is the largest part of the asphalt mixture. Class A aggregate is the best aggregate specification in road pavement structures. The top foundation material which is often used is aggregate which is a mixture of river sand and broken stone. Talau River is a class A aggregate collection place in this study, which is located in Derok Faturene Village, West Tasifeto District, Belu Regency, NTT and is also one of the places that are often used by Belu District community. In class A aggregate sample collection, various compaction was carried out, namely the number of collisions 46, 56, and 66 collisions. Compaction intended The compaction is intended to close the aggregate grains so that the air pores are reduced. Poor compaction will have an impact on the reduction which impact on the cracked road before the age of the plan. This compaction aims to determine the water content and CBR value of each number of collisions.
