Abstract
Learning model Discovery Learning is a learning model that directs students to find concepts through various information or data obtained through observation or experiments. The main problem in this research is how the results of applying the learning model. Discovery Learning subject matter Even semester semester pressure on class VIII A students of Angkasa Lanud El Tari Middle School Academic Year 2019/2020? "In detail the problems in this study are (1) How is the teacher's ability to manage learning activities by applying the Discovery Learning learning model ?, (2) How is the completion of the indicator of the results of physical learning by applying the discovery learning model to the subject matter of class VIII students of SMP Angkasa Kupang in the academic year 2019/2020? 2019/2020 teachings? and (4) What is the response of students in learning physics by applying the discovery learning model to the subject matter of pressure on students of class VIII in SMP Angkasa Kupang in the academic year 2019/2020? The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the application of the Discovery Learning learning model of the subject matter Even semester pressure on grade VIII A students of Angkasa Lanud El Tari Middle School. In detail, the objectives of this study are (1) Describe the ability of teachers to manage learning activities by applying discovery learning models, (2) Describe the completeness of learning outcomes indicators by applying the Discovery Learning learning model, (3) Describe the completeness of student learning outcomes by applying the learning model Discovery Learning learning, and (4) Describe students' responses to learning activities by applying the Discovery Learning learning model. This type of research is a type of descriptive research. Subjects 22 people and teachers (researchers). Data collection techniques used were observation, tests, and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study were the Learning Device Validation Sheet, Learning Implementation Observation Sheet, Cognitive Learning Process Results and Processes, Results Observation Sheet Affective and Psychomotor Learning, and Entity Report Respondents in Education. The analysis technique used in analyzing the data in this study is a descriptive statistical analysis which includes the calculation of average scores, proportions and percentages. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis and discussion, it can be said that the application of the Discovery Learning Model is optimal for the subject matter Pressure in class VIII A students of Angkasa Lanud El Tari Middle School Academic Year 2019/2020, amounting to 22 students. Teacher suggestions in learning activities should increase the number of experimental activities and provide questions that require Discovery Learning. In addition, the teacher must provide sufficient time in guiding students as they experiment and solve problems. This must be done regularly or continuously, so that students are skilled and proficient in conducting experiments and they have the ability to reason.
