Abstract

The research in this paper is based on the experience of the school and PPL that are known during the teaching and learning process of teachers using teaching materials, the teacher only discusses material on the board, dictates from books, and excludes the teacher does not provide notes for students. So the teacher must find other time to provide notes and students are returned from books so students rewrite all sentences in the book without summarizing them. The material in the student worbook is monotonous, and is colorless. Less interesting teaching material causes students to be lazy reading, passive in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to make Mind Mapping handout based teaching material on the subject matter of the solar system. This research is a research development with the procedure of developing handout teaching materials in this scientific paper, namely: (1) Analysis, (2) Design The final result of this scientific paper research is mind mapping based handout teaching material that can attract the attention and motivation of students to be more eager to learn so that learning outcomes can also be improved.
