Abstract

There are four problems in this research, they are: 1) how the ability of teachers in applying learning application of guided inquiry approach? 2) How the indicators of learning outcomes by using application of guided inquiry approach? 3) How the student result in applicated guided inquiry approach? 4) How students respond to learning outcomes by application guided inquiry approach? The aim of this research is to describe the result of application of guided inquiry approach of the subject matter of heat and its transfer to the students of VIIA SMP Negeri 2 Kupang in academic year 2017/2018. The aims of this research are: 1) Describe teacher ability in teaching materials by application of guided inquiry approach. 2) Describe the indicators of learning outcomes by using application of guided inquiry approach. 3) Describe student result in application guided inquiry approach. 4) Describe students respond to learning outcomes by application guided inquiry approach. This research use descriptive research. The subjects of this research are teacher and students of VIIA SMP Negeri 2 Kupang with a total of 32 students. The learning devices used in this research are syllabus, lesson plan, learning materials and worksheet. And the instruments used in this research are observation sheet, test result of the learners, and the answer sheet of student.The techniques in collecting the data are used observation, test and questionnaire. The technique in analyze the data is descriptive by totally the mean, proportion and percentage. Based on the result of descriptive the application of guided inquiry approach of the subject 6301matter of heat and its transfer to the students of VIIA SMP Negeri 2 Kupang is optimum.
