Abstract

Guided initiation is an inquiry activity where students work to find answers to the problems raised by the teacher under the intensive guidance of the teacher. The main problem in this study is how the results of the application of guided inquiry approaches in learning physics subject matter Temperature and Changes in VIIA class students the odd semester of SMP Angkasa Kupang in the 2018/2019 school year?, (2) What is the completeness of Learning Outcomes Indicators of students by applying guided inquiry approach ?,(3) How is the completeness of students' learning outcomes in learning by applying guided inquiry approach ?, (4) How do students respond to learning implementation activities by applying guided inquiry approach ?, From the formulation of the problem, the goal achieved in this study is to describe theresults of the application of guided inquiry approach in learning physics subject matter Temperature and Change in VIIA grade students odd semester in SMP Angkasa Kupang in 2018/2019 school year ". In detail the objectives of this study are (1) Describe the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying a guided inquiry approach model, (2) Describe the completeness of Learning Outcomes Indicators (IHB) of students by applying guided inquiry approaches, (3) Describe the completeness of participants' physics learning outcomes learners in learning by applying guided inquiry approaches, (4) Describe students' responses to the implementation of learning activities by applying guided inquiry approaches. This type of research is a type of descriptive research. The subject of the research is the teacher (researcher) and the grade VIIA students in the odd semester of SMP Angkasa Kupang in the 2018/2019 academic year which amounted to 27 people. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and questionnaires. While the instrument used in this study is the Management Observation Sheet Learning, Learning Outcomes Test (product, affective and psychomotor)and Participant Response Questionnaire Educate. The research result analysis technique used is descriptive analysis including calculation average score, proportion and percentage. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, research data that in general the application of guided inquiry approach is good for the subject matter of Temperature and Change ingrade students VIIA odd semester SMP Angkasa Kupang in 2018/2019 school year which amounted to 27 students. In detail (1) The ability of teachers to manage learning activities by implementing a Guided Inquiry Approach Model that includes: planning learning tools, planning learning evaluation and implementing learning is good. (2) Indicators of learning outcomes (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) prepared are all complete. (3) Learning outcomes of students (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) are mostly completed. (4) The response of students to the implementation of learning activities by applying the Guided Inquiry Approach covers five aspects, namely: (1) Preliminary activities, (2) core activities, (3) closing activities, (4) Time management and (5) class atmosphere, these five aspects got an average total score of 3.83% with a very good category.
