Abstract

A contextual approach ( contextual teaching and learning ) is a learning approach in helping the teacher to associate between a substance of lesson which taught in relation to the learners life so they may find the connection and the applying of the lesson on their daily life by environment context, society and culture. The main problem in this research is how the result of “Implementation of the approach context the main subject material simple machine on the grade students class VIIIG of Junior High School Negeri 3 Kupang on the odd semester of 2018/2019?” specific way, the problem in this research are: 1) How the ability of the teacher on manage the learning by applying contextual approach? 2) How being finish the indicator results of the students in learning by applying contextual approach? 3) How being finish result of the students in learning by applying contextual approach? 4) How the students response to the learning process by applying contextual approach? Based on the formulation above, the aim that will be reach on this research is “describing the result of implementation of the contextual approach on the main subject of material simple machine in the grade students of VIIIG on the odd semester of Junior High School Negeri 3 Kupang on the year of 2018/2019”. Specific way, the aim of this research is: 1) Describing the ability of the teacher on manages the learning by applying contextual approach? 2) Describing being finish the indicator result of the students in learning by applying contextual approach? 3) Describing being finish result of the students in learning by applying contextual approach? 4) Describing the student’s response to the learning process by applying contextual approach? The kinds of this research is descriptive, subject of this research is the educator (research) and the students of grade VIIIG on nthe odd of Junior High School Negeri 3 Kupang on the year of 2018/2019 which amount of 32 students. The equipments used on this research are as follow: teaching material, lesson plan, student’s work sheet, result of latticework (cognitive, affective, psychomotoric). Technique used on gathers the data are observation, test and questionnaire. Instrument that used on this research are: Sheet of learning processes manager, result test of learning process, form of students sheets. Technique in analyzing the data is descriptive analyzing technique involved average scores, proportion and presentation. The result of descriptive analyze above showed that the implementation of the contextual approach on the main subject of meterial simple machine in the grade students of VIIIG odd semester of Junior High School Negeri 3 Kupang is done on the learning process.
