Abstract

Learning motivation is the process of generating energy, directing, and maintaining one's behavior in learning. The Discovery Learning Model is a model for developing active learning methods of students by finding themselves, investigating themselves, so the results obtained will be faithful and durable in memory, will not be easily forgotten by the student. Measurement is the activity of comparing a quantity with other quantities. Measurement activities also use measurement instruments to determine the values of a scale. The main problem in this study is there any significant influence between learning motivation on students cognitive learning outcomes by applying Discovery Learning Model Main Material Measurement of Class X Nature Science1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang Odd Semester 2018/2019 Academic Year?. In detail the problems in the study are: 1) How is the description of students learning motivation by applying Discovery Learning Model Material Principles of Measurement for Class X Nature Science1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019?. 2) How is the exhaustiveness of cognitive learning outcomes and indicators of cognitive learning outcomes in learning by applying the Discovery Learning Model The Main Material for Measuring Class X Nature Science 1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019?. 3) Is there any significant influence between learning motivation on students' cognitive learning results by applying Discovery learning model as main Measurement indicator in class X Nature Science 1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang Odd Semester 2018/2019 Academic Year. The purpose of this study is: 1) To describe the learning motivation of students who apply the Discovery Learning Model Subject Material Measuring Class XNature Science1 of Senior High School 6Kupang Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. 2) To describe learning result and cognitive learning results indicators of students who apply Discovery Learning Model Material Principles of Class X Nature Science1 of Senior High School 6Kupang Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. 3) To describe the effect of learning motivation on cognitive learning results that apply the Discovery Learning Model Subject Material Measuring Class XNature Science 1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. This types of researchare descriptive and associative reseach. The population and sample in this study are students of class X Nature Science 1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang in 2018/2019 Academic Year which amounted to 35 people. Learning instrument used are Learning Materials for Students, Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plans, Student Worksheets, Grids and Learning Outcomes Tests. The methods is used to collects data are tests and questionnaires. While the instrument used in this study is a test of cognitive learning result and student questionnaire motivation sheets. The descriptive research design used was the One Shot Case Study. While the associative design used is XY. The results of the study is the application of the Discovery learning model can be applied to the subject matter of the students in class X Nature Science 1 of Senior High School 6 Kupang to get better learning outcomes and there is a significant influence between learning motivation on cognitive learning result of students analyzed using SPSS program.
