Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of guided inqiury approach to simple plane subject matter in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 4 Kupang in learning year 2018/2019. In detail the objectives to be achieved are: (1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying guided inquiry approach. (2) Describe the completeness of learning outcome indicators by applying a guided inquiry approach. (3) Describe the completeness of learning outcomes by applying a guided inkuri approach. (4) Describe the response of students by applying a guided inkuri approach. This type of research is descriptive research, subjects in this study are teachers (researchers) and students of class VIII C odd semester 4 Kupang 4 State School 2018/2019 school year totaling 31 students. The subject of this study was determined using purposive sampling technique which is a sample determination technique with certain considerations. The research design used was one-group pretest and post-test design. The techniques used in collecting data are observation, tests and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning management observation sheets, learning outcome test sheets and student response sheets.Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques which include average scores, proportions and percentages. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of research data and discussion of research results obtained that learning by applying the guided inquiry approach to simple airplane subject matter for students of class VIII C in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 4 Kupang in learnig year 2018/2019 which totaled 31 students was optimal. In detail the teacher's ability in managing learning which includes learning planning, implementation of learning and learning evaluation planning are all in good category. Indicators of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes are all complete. Completeness of learning outcomes for cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects are all complete. Students' responses in learning activities that cover twenty aspects are all good.
