Abstract
Motivation is one of the internal factors that influence learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are the values obtained by students covering cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Learning motivation is the effort in students who encourage them to master knowledge for the success they aspire to. Discovery learning model is a learning that requires students to find out for themselves what is being learned. The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is the learning motivation of students in the learning process by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019? 2) How is the completeness of learning outcome indicators (IHB) and the completeness of learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019? 3) Is there a significant influence between learning motivation on students' cognitive learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019? The purpose of this study are: 1) To describe the learning motivation of students in the learning process by applying the discovery learning model to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019. 2) To describe learning outcomes, completeness of learning outcomes and completeness of learning outcomes indicators (IHB) of students by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019. 3) To know whether or not there is a significant influence between learning motivation on students' cognitive learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in odd semester in the school year 2018/2019. The type of research used were descriptive research and associative research. The subject in this study was students of class XI MIA3 of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in the school year 2018/2019 that as a sample of the research, which taken by random sampling method. The results showed that: 1) The learning motivation of students of class XI MIA3 of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang was “good”. 2) Completeness of learning outcome indicators for indicators of cognitive learning outcomes on indicator III was not complete. For indicators of affective and psychomotor learning outcomes, everything was completed with the average total proportion of 0.97 and 0.88 respectively. Completeness of learning outcomes XI MIA3 of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang, for cognitive learning outcomes there were 2 students who were incomplete with a total average proportion of 0.88. Whereas for affective and psychomotor learning outcomes there were 4 students who were not complete, with the average total proportion of affective learning outcomes of 0.91 and the average total proportion of learning outcomes of 0.90; 3) There was a significant influence between learning motivation on student learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models to the subject matter of solid elasticity in students of class XI MIA3 of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang, with a contribution of 26.1% and the regression equation is Ŷ = 1.142 X.
