Abstract
Contextual Approach is an approach to learning that gives the facility of learning activities learners to seek, cultivate, learning experiencesare concrete (related to life) through the involvement of students in activities to try, do, and experience for yourself to find the meaning of learning. The main issue in this study is how the results of the application of a contextual approach about the subject matter of pressure for VIII A grade students in odd semester at junior high school angkasa Kupang, academic year 2017/2018? Specifically, the problems in this study were: 1) How does the teacher's ability to manage the learning process by adopting a contextual approach physics? 2) How completeness learning outcome indicators (product, process, affective and psychomotor) in learning physics by applying a contextual approach? 3) How can learning out comes (products, processes, affective and psychomotor) learners in the learning of physics by applying a contextual approach? 4) What is the respons of students to the learning process of physics by applying a contextual approach? The main objective of this research is to describe the results of a contextual approach about the subject matter of pressure for VIII A grade students in odd semester at junior high school angkasa Kupang, academic year 2017/2018. Specifically, the purpose of this studyis: 1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage the learning process of physics by applying a contextual approach. 2) Describe the completeness of out come indicators for learning (product, process, affective and psychomotor) in learning physics by applying a contextual approach. 3) Describe the learning out comes (products, process, affective and psychomotor) learners int he learning of physics by applying a contextual approach. 4) Describe the respons of students to the learning process of physics by applying a contextual approach. Type of research is descriptive. The subjects in this study were teachers and students of VIII A grade at junior high school angkasa Kupang, the number of subjects was 25 people. The techniques that used in data collection is observation, tests and questionnaires. The Learning device that used in this study is students teaching matter, syllabus, lesson plan, worksheet students, students discussion sheet and grille learning test results. While the instruments that used in this study is the observation sheet management learning contextual approach, students learning test results, rating sheet aspects (process, affective, psychomotor), and questionnaire respons of students. The techniques of data analysis of this research is descriptive analysis (calculating the average score, proportion and percentage). Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of the data showedthat the general application of the contextual approachis good for the business subject matter and energy on learners class VIII A angkas kupang totaling 25 people. Detailed gained teaching ability of teachers tomanage the subject matter of effort and energy which includes lesson plans,deploy learning and evaluation of learning is good. Indicator of learning outcomes prepared by 7 indicatorsof cognitive everything is completed. The study of students in a class is said to be completed in cognitive, affective, psychomotor and response learners so that the application of the approach contextual the subject matter of effort and energy optimal.
