Abstract

Paper aims at Cooperative Learning Type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) on the Material of Substance and its Changes. TGT type of cooperative learning is one of the types or models of cooperative learning that is easy to apply, involves the activities of all students without any difference in status, involves the role of students as peer tutors and contains elements of play. In this model students play games with other team members to get additional scores on their team. The game is composed of questions that are relevant to the lesson designed to test the knowledge students get from delivering lessons in class and group activities. Learning activities with games designed in the TGT model of cooperative learning enable students to learn more relaxed while growing responsibility, cooperation, fair competition and learning involvement. There are five main components in the TGT type of cooperative learning, namely: 1) Class presentation, 2) Groups (Teams), 3) Games, 4) tournaments and 5) Group awards.
