Abstract
This scientific paper aims to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills in Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This scientific paper is based on the study of literature from various scientific papers that have been published through books and scientific journals. Mathematical critical thinking is a mental process that is independent, reflective, makes sense to solve mathematical problems, gather and analyze necessary and trusted information,formulate presumptions and hypotheses, test hypotheses logically, make conclusions then evaluate and decide on something that will be believed, and predict the consequences that might occur. Bythinking critically it will stimulate students 'curiosity, students are able to arrange the truth under any conditions, so that it will awaken students' mathematical abilities (doing math). Increasing the ability to think critically can be done with a learning process that actively engages students, the submission of challenging problems, and students draw their own conclusions these conditions can be obtained through Realistic Mathematics Education(RME). Realistic Mathematics Educatinis an approach to the learning process that starts from things that are real for students (reality) and the environment, and emphasizes the skills of "process of doing mathematics".
