Abstract

Puluthie Inpres Elementary School is one of the elementary schools located on Jalan Timur Raya KM. 22 Oebelo Village, Kupang Tengah Regency. SD Inpres Puluthie has 18 study groups (rombel) who have implemented the 2013 curriculum in their learning with 402 students and 31 teachers. Puluthie Inpres Elementary School is one of the schools that has not used information systems in its academic processes such as student data, teacher data, subject data, grades data, and others. Processing of academic data in SD Inpres Puluthie is still stored in books or files inform of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word without a database which is still fairly simple and has several deficiencies in the data processing. When making changes to the data, employees of the school operator must search the data one by one until the data is found. This requires quite a long time because of the large amount of data that must be searched. With this condition, SD Inpres Puluthie has difficulty in finding data and making reports. This is because no information system can optimize the use of computer equipment. To overcome the existing problems, the Academic Information System was created at Puluthie Central Kupang Elementary School. The model used in designing system development is the Waterfall Model. This system is designed based on the web which is implemented using XAMPP with the PHP program language and for the database using MySQL. The expected results of this system are being able to manage, store data properly and safely, facilitate the process of finding data that has been stored in a database, and can provide output in the form of print results that are needed.
