Abstract
Learning by empowering to think high level (higher order thinking). Higher Order of Thinking Skills (HOTS) is the ability to think that not only requires the ability to remember, but requires other higher abilities, such as the ability to think creatively and critically. During this time learning that takes place at school is learning that is centered on the teacher or conventional. This certainly has an impact on student’s abilities, because they are not directly involved in the learning process, especially in finding material concepts and students become passive recipients of information, learn individually and often a student masters a group. So one of the solutions that can be used to see student activeness in class and student achievment is the Cooperative Learning model of Numbered Head Together (NHT) or “Shared Numbering Thinking” is a type of cooperative learning that is designed to influence students interaction patterns to be more active. The writing of this scientific paper aims to describe how to apply HOTS in the numbered head together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model. The writing of scientific paper does not use test subjects. The final result of writing this paper is the implementasion of HOTS which can be used in learning work and energy which can also train students to start thingking at a higher level.
