Abstract
This study aims to examine and study plants that produce blue dye and color resistance factors. The method used is literature study. The results showed that the plants that produce blue dyes and can be used as dye for fabrics / yarn in the production of woven fabrics are indigo (Indigofera tinctoria L.), telang plants (Clitoria ternatea), microalgae Spirulina platensis, and purple cabbage (Brasicca oleracea L.). The content of compounds in tilapia, namely glucoside indices. These compounds will change the indoxyl into indoxyl and glucose. Indoxyl is oxidized to indigo. The compound content in telang flowers is delphinidin (C15H11O7). Microalgae Spirulina platensis contains phycocyanin (C33H40N4O6) compounds. Purple cabbage contains anthocyanin compounds. The factors that can affect the color resistance to blue in these plants are pH, temperature, sunlight, storage time, and fixation
