Abstract

Malaria is an infectious disease caused by a mosquito, which if not treated can cause death serious. From the years 2014 -2016 about 553 cases ofmalaria occur in Atambua District General Hospital, It's caused by a lack of public knowledge in the prevention of malaria and lack of medical personnel or doctors who numbered only 17 people in addition to the weakness in the service such as working hours are limited and waiting queues in the services. Thus built an expert system (expert systems) are built using forward method changing merging and fuzzy logic method, using the programming language PHP and MySQL database. In this system also requires data / knowledge base sufficient knowledge based on the knowledge of experts / specialists, in order to obtain an accurate and real decisions that can help physicians and the public to diagnose malaria by mosquitoes so that people can take immediate measures totackle the disease. The expected result of this system can help physicians and society in diagnosing malaria.
