Abstract

The problems in this research are: (1) What is the description of the salt farmer's business in Silawan Village, East Tasifeto District, Belu Regency? (2) How is the effect of Capital, Price, and Productivity, partially and simultaneously on the income of salt farmers in Silawan Village, East Tasifeto District, Belu Regency? (3) How is the contribution of salt farmers' business in Silawan Village, East Tasifeto District, Belu Regency to household economic conditions?. This study uses quantitative and qualitative data, quantitative is in the form of numerical data that can be measured or calculated directly as a variable number or number, qualitative is in the form of questions and not in the form of numbers. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data, primary data is information data obtained through direct interviews with salt farmers and using questionnaires, secondary data is data that has been recorded in a book or a report or related agency. The This study shows the results of a significant level of 10%. in this study then processed using Eviews 10 which were analyzed using descriptive statistics and differential statistics, which consisted of the classical assumption test, namely normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. Regression analysis consisting of multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing consisting of t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The results obtained: Simultaneously capital, price and productivity affect the income of salt farmers in Silawan Village. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.402075 or 40.20%, while the remaining 59.8% is explained by other variables not included in this study. Based on the results of the research above,it is recommended to salt farmers and the local government, with the results of this study, it is hoped that an effort will be made to (1) capital. It is also expected that the government can provide capital assistance for salt farmers. (2) The price is expected from the government to also pay attention to the selling price of salt so that the income of salt farmers can increase. (3) Productivity is further increased by working days, labor and also ingredients in the manufacture of salt so that the production and quality of salt increases.
