Abstract
This study focuses on morphological and syntactical analysis. The study attempts to answer its research questions (1) What is morphological typology in Adonara-Lamaholot language? (2) What are the syntactic patterns of Adonara- Lamaholot language? The objectives of the study are (1) to describe morphological typology in Adonara-Lamaholot language (2) to describe the syntactic patterns of Adonara-Lamaholot language. This study is descriptive- qualitative. The data were obtained through recording. The data then are analyzed through some steps that are transcription using ELAN and glossing using FLEx. The result of analysis uncovers the research questions as follows. (1) Adonara-Lamaholot has no nasal coda. It has nasalized vowel instead. (2) The morphological features are handful in this language. The language uses clitics. Moreover, the language seems to be the one and only in the Lamaholot speaking area which has complete paradigm of object pronoun. (3) Adonara- Lamaholot Language has three major word classes that are nouns, adjectives, and verbs. For syntactical analysis,the sentence construction of this language makes use of clitics in its subject-verb agreement. Moreover, the language is a bit strict which is shown by every loan word that is used in the Adonara- Lamaholot context must undergo morphology and syntax of this language. In addition, there is a relativiser found in this language which is mari.
