Abstract

This study is entitled The Role of the Provincial Tourism Office as a Planner in the Development of Tourism Objects on Lasiana Beach. Judging from the situation of Lasiana Beach which has been designated as a pilot tourist attraction for tourist areas in the city of Kupang, of course, all aspects of the development of tourism objects in it, need to continue to experience innovation, so that they can compete. Seeing the existing conditions, the author would like to examine further about the existing development planning, whether it is relevant to the status of Lasiana Beach as one of the many attractions in East Nusa Tenggara that are designated as pilot tourism objects by the government. Therefore, researchers are interested in researching how to plan the development of attractions in Lasiana Beach. Problem approach is done using secondary data and primary data through qualitative descriptive writing. The analysis was conducted using primary data from interviews and secondary data sourced from scientific publications, website publications, documents, and statistical data that provide the possibility of drawing conclusions and taking action. This study uses indicators according to Bulter (1980) which are also integrated with aspects according to Cooper (1995). The results of this paper indicate: Application of Planning in the Development of Tourism Objects on Lasiana Beach through three indicators of development planning namely; the discovery phase, the engagement phase, the development stage are important points as instruments that are able to guarantee an increase in Regional Original Revenues. The aspects measured are; Attraction (Attraction) the value of attraction attractions. Supporting Facilities (Ammenities), an expansion of space to minimize lost omsed. Accessibility of transportation to attractions is an important factor in increasing visitor arrivals. Based on the discussion above, planning for the development of beach tourism is not optimal and has not provided satisfaction to tourists. Based on the results of this paper, the authors suggest, including that; tourist attraction objects, for the Government as the manager, to add value to local wisdom and new ideas in development planning. In order to give its own impression for local and foreign visitors, the value of local wisdom is also an attraction. For supporting facilities and accessibility, for the government as the manager needs to expand the space in the area of tourist attractions.
