Abstract

The formulation of the problem of this research are 1) How is the description of the process of producing woven fabric in Ina Ndao Weaving House? 2) How much is the income of woven cloth craftsmen in Ina Ndao Weaving House and the comparison with NTT Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP)? The purpose of this study is 1) Knowing the description of the production process of woven fabric in Ina Ndao Weaving House. 2) Determine how much the income of woven fabric craftsmen in Ina Ndao Weaving House and comparison with NTT Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). This study uses descriptive qualitative analysis tools, namely data in the form of information and information about the income of the weaving craftsmen. In this research data are primary data obtained from interviews with a questionnaire conducted on the fabric weaving craftsmen in the "Ina Ndao Weaving House" about how the production process, input costs used and income of weaving craftsmen with a sample of 20 informants and Secondary data were obtained from previous research journals regarding the income of woven fabric craftsmen. The results showed that the process of making woven fabric starts from the yarn winder. After the yarn is rolled or wound, it is then hanied in the hullery. This process is usually carried out by two people. The last process is weaving to be woven cloth in accordance with the established motives. NTT province UMP in 2019 Rp. 1,795,000. The woven cloth craftsmen who earn less than the NTT province UMP in 2019 as many as 6 informants with a range of income of Rp. 790,000 up to Rp. 1,770,000, - while the weaving cloth craftsmen who earned more income than the UMP of NTT province in 2019 were 14 informants with a range of income from Rp. 1,950,000 up to Rp. 4,210,000. The amount of income is influenced by the number of woven fabrics produced. Based on the results of the study it is recommended that weavers continue to participate in training on weaving in order to gain insight and also improve the quality of woven fabrics.
