Abstract

Manggarai Regency Regional Government Broadcast Radio (RSPD) was established on September 10-1980. Manggarai Regency Regional Government Broadcast Radio (RSPD) broadcasts with a frequency of 90.4 Megahertz (MHz) which is also a radio that involves reporters or journalists in obtaining and processing news to broadcast. The Regional Information Program is a news program (RSPD) that is present twice every day from Monday to Saturday, and the format of the news raised is news about Manggarai Regency and its surroundings. the work process of journalists in the regional information program on radio broadcast by the regional government of Manggarai Regency. In the process of getting news, radio journalists go directly to cover news, be it heavy news or light news. Field reporters who cover the news will write, edit and arrive at broadcasting the news. This scientific paper entitled "The Work Process of Journalists in the Regional Information Program on the Regional Government Broadcast Radio (RSPD) Manggarai Regency", has a problem formulation of how the Work Process of Journalists in the Regional Information Program on the Regional Government Broadcast Radio (RSPD) Manggarai Regency, the purpose of this research is know the Work Process of Journalists in the Regional Information Program on the Regional Government Broadcast Radio (RSPD) Manggarai Regency. This scientific paper uses a concept or theory, namely the work process of radio journalists, a journalist needs to do various ways in obtaining news to be informed to the public. These methods are carried out through observation, interviews and searching for news materials. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the work process of RSPD radio journalists in Manggarai Regency has fully implemented the real coverage scheme in the world of journalists, especially in the process of obtaining news. RSPD journalists use several parts of the journalist's work process such as observation, interviews, writing news and information dissemination. the work process of journalists at RSPD Manggarai Regency is one of the important tasks in obtaining news for the public to know. However, the work process of reporters in covering news is still experiencing problems due to a shortage of field staff, resulting in a shortage of news broadcast and delays in obtaining news.
