Abstract

SMPN 2 Kota Kupang is an educational institution that plays an important role in developing knowledge.Teachers are the most important educating factor in an educational institution. Selection of outstanding teachers is carried out every year with the aim that teachers are always enthusiastic in increasing dedication and performance in school. The obstacle in the process of selecting outstanding teachers is that at this time there is no outstanding teacher selection at SMPN 2 Kota Kupang, teachers who participate in the selection of outstanding teachers based on the wishes of these teachers and information on the selection of teachers with limited achievements. From these problems, a decision support system was made to assist schools in making decisions about selecting outstanding teachers. By implementing a decision support system to solve problems in determining outstanding teachers, the SAW method is used. The SAW calculation process is carried out to determine outstanding teachers with 4 criteria. Data collection methods used are interview, observation, and literature study methods. The system development method used in this system is the waterfall method. The programming language used is PHP database MySQL. With this system, this system is used to assist schools in determining the best teachers who deserve to be chosen by SMPN 2 Kota Kupang to participate in the selection of the next level of outstanding teachers.
