Abstract

In an effort to achieve good performance, the Land Transportation Management Agency Region XIII, NTT Province has set the certain achieved targets. From the total 10 activities, only 5 activities reached 100% realization, indicating employees’ low performance. The aims of this study are: 1) To describe the performance, competence, work environment, leadership and job satisfaction at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 2) To determine whether the competency have a significant effect on the employees’ performance at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 3) To determine whether the work environment have a significant effect on the employees’ performance at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 4) To determine whether the leadership have a significant effect on the employees’ performance at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 5) To determine whether competency have a significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 6) To determine whether the work environment have a significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 7) To determine whether leadership have a significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. 8) To determine whether job satisfaction have a significant effect on the employees’ performance at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province. The data in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis using the SmartPLS Version 3.3.2. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the competency (81,09 %), work environment (81,69%),leadership (82,54%), job satisfaction (81,68%) and employee performance (81,31%) at BPTD Region XIII Office, NTT Province are categorized as good.The results of inferential statistics analysis indicate that competence (2.061; sig. 0.040), work environment (2.739; sig. 0.006), leadership (2.707; sig. 0.007) and job satisfaction (2.842; sig. 0.005) have a significant effect on the employees’ performance at BPTD Region XIII office, NTT Province. Furthermore, competence (2.003; sig. 0.046), work environment (2.504; sig. 0.013) and leadership (5.055; sig. 0.000) have a significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction at BPTD Region XIII NTT Province office. The results of determination coefficient indicate that competence, work environment, leadership,and job satisfaction contribute 75.7% on the employees’ performance; the competence, work environment and leadership contribute 60.3% on job satisfaction. Based on these results, it is suggested to the management of BPTD Region XIII NTT Province to improve competence, especially in employee skills indicators, improve the work environment, especially in work atmosphere indicators, improve leadership especially in communication skills indicators, increase job satisfaction, especially in financial indicators. and improving employee performance, especially in working time efficiency indicators.
