Abstract

Physics learning is assentially a process of interaction with all situations that exist around individual student, as well as linking it with daily life. One of the learning models commonly used in classroom learning is the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with the Predict, Observe, and Explain (POE) methods. The CTL approach can be used as an alternaive lerning model that demands the activeness of teachers and student or requires student to find their own content with authentic experience. This study aims to produce guided physics learning of the CTL model of the POE methods on the ability ti think at a high level of subject matter in straight motion decent according to the validator. This research is a research development where a literature study is conducted on the steps of CTL learning POE methods which is done by the teacher to improve the ability to think at a high level og subject matter in straight motion. vi Where the final result of writing this paper is a Silabus, Learning Tools in the form of Learning Imlementation Plans, Student Worksheets, and teaching materials on Straight Motion material that is able direct student to think at a higher level. The hope of making this scientific paper is to assist teachers in designing a learning devide with the CTL learning model POE methods that is able to develop higher-order thinking skills in students. The method used by the author is Plaining and Design of Learning Devices, after that applying the characteristic of HOTS in the Learning Deviced, and finnaly is the feasibility test
