Abstract

The main problem in this study is how the results of the application of the MeansEnds Analysis (MEA) learning model on the subject matter of Light in Class VIIIG Even Semester "Equated" Kupang Academic Year 2018/2019. Specifically, the problems in this study are: 1) How the ability of teachers to manage learning the subject matter of light in class VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang by applying the Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning model? 2) How is the completeness of indicators of learning outcomes of students the subject matter of light in class VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang by applying the Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning model? 3) How are the results of the study of students in the primary subjects of education at the VIII G junior high school level Sta. TheresiaKupang by implementing the Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning model? 4) How do students respond to the subject matter of light in class VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang by applying the Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning model? This type of research is a type of descriptive research. The research subjects were students of VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia "Equated" Kupang with 26 people and teachers (researchers). Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study are Learning Management Learning Sheet, Learning Outcomes Test, and Student Response Sheet. The technique of analyzing the results of the research used was descriptive analysis including the calculation of the average score, proportion and percentage. Based on the results of descriptive analysis the research data shows that in general the application of the learning model Means Ends Analysis (Mea) is good for the subject matter of light in class VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang, amounting to 26 people. In detail (1) The ability of teachers to manage physics learning of subject matter of light in class VIII G SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang through the application of the Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning model which includes: learning planning with an average score of 3.92, implementing learning with an average score of 3.78, and learning evaluation in good categories with an average score of 4.00 and all three are in the good category. (3) Indicators (IHB) prepared as many as 18 indicators are all completed with an average proportion of ≥ 0.75 which reaches 0.82. (4) Learning outcomes of Sta. VIII G SMPK students. Theresia Kupang in the overall light material was completed and there was an increase in the proportion of correct answers from 0.47 to 0.82 with an increase of 0.47. (5) The response of students to Means Ends Analysis (Mea) learning is generally very good, because all aspects are in a very good category because the response value given is ≥81%, which is 98.918%.
