Abstract

The main problem in this study is how the results of cooperative application of the jigsaw type of light subject matter to class VIII J students of the even semester of junior high school ? Specifically, the problem in this study is: 1) How is the teacher ability to manage learning by applying cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type subject matter of class light to class VIII J students of Negeri 3 kupang junior high school ? 2) How the cooperative skills of students in learning by applying cooperative learning models of jigsaw types of light subject matter to class VIII J students of Negeri 3 kupang junior high school ? 3) How completeness of learning indicators by applying cooperative learning models of jigsaw type subject matter of light to class VIII J students of Negeri 3 kupang junior high school ? 4) How completensse of indicators of students learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning models of jigsaw type subject matter of light to class VIII J students of Negeri 3 kupang junior high school ? 5) How students respond to learning by applying cooperative learning model of jigsaw type light subject matter to class VIII J students of Negeri 3 kupang junior high school. This type of research is descriptive. The subject in this study were teacher and student of class VIII J junior high school 3 kupang totaling 30 people. Technigues used in collecting data are observation, test, and guestionnaire. Learning devinces used in this study syllabus, plan for implementing learning, teaching materials for students, students, and grid of learning outcomes test. While the instruments used in this study were observation sheets for the management of jigsawtype cooperative learning outcomes test, student response sheets. The analysis teachniqueof this study was descriptive (calculating the everage score of proportions and presentations. Based on the results of deskritip analysis of research data shows that in general the in detail (1) the teacher in managing physics learning of the subject matter of light in class VIII J public junior high school 3 kupang thourgh the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model which includes: learning planning with an average score of 3,93, implementing learning with an average score 3,97 and student evaluatin in good categories with an average score of 4,00 and all there are in the good category. (2) Students cooperative skills include: being on assignments, encouraging participation, listening actively and asking or answering, in general and the average is in the range of effectiveness set. (3) The indicator (IHB) prepared as many as 18 indicators were all completed with an average ≥ 0,75 which reached 0,96. (4) The learning outcomes of class VIII J students on the overall light material are complete and an increase in the proportion of correct answers from 0,22 to 1,00. (5) The response of students to jigsaw type learning is generally very good category because the response value given 81% is 88,9 %.
