Abstract
Development of African catfish enlargement business, feed is a very important factor, where the availability of feed can maximize production results. The nutritional needs of catfish obtained from feed greatly affect the growth rate ofcatfish. Good catfish feed must contain nutrients such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and energy in sufficient quantities. The use of tofu dregs as fish feed can increase protein 9.58%, the use of fish meal is known to also increase the cost of feed production by 26%, the use of fish meal is also known to accelerate the growth rate of African catfish 0.24 g / day and the use of bran as feed. can artificially increase production costs by 21.7%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of alternative or additional feed on the growth of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The method used was an experimental method, namely the RAL method with 4 treatments and 3 replications used to obtain data by conducting direct experiments by making several processed products from tofu dregs into catfish feed pellets and analyzing them with quantitative tests. Based on the results of the analysis carried out by researchers in research on the effect of additional feed on the growth of African catfish,it is concluded that from several variations of treatment carried out by researchers, namely P1 (Pellet / Control); P2 (pellets and tofu dregs); P3 (pellet and fish meal) and P4 (pellet and bran), it is known that the best treatment forms are pellets and fish meal (P3), where the analysis results show that the average fish weight in P3 is 93.3 grams and the length reaches 36, 1 cm, with the absolute weight growth value is 7.7; and proven by multivariate analysis in which the most significant treatment forms for changes in fish weight were pellets and fish meal (P3).
