Abstract

Discovery learning approach is a learning approach developed based on a constructive viewpoint. This approach encourages students to develop an active way of learning with concepts and principles to discover for themselves, investigate for themselves. Objectives: (1) To determine the implementation of learning that applies the discovery learning approach to the subject matter of Molecular Forms of class X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 9 Kupang based on Field Experience Practice (PPL); (2) To determine the acquisition of student learning outcomes in learning that applies the discovery learning approach to the subject matter of Molecular Forms of class X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 9 Kupang based on Field Experience Practices (PPL). The writing of this scientific paper is based on the author's experience during the Field Experience Practice (PPL) at SMA Negeri 9 Kupang in 2019. The methods used in writing this paper are qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the study of this paper are: The acquisition of student learning outcomes in learning that applies the discovery learning approach, the subject matter of the molecular form of class X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 9 Kupang is 82.32 and declared complete because the acquisition of student learning outcomes is greater than the minimum completeness criteria ( KKM) set at SMA Negeri 9 Kupang, namely 75.
