Abstract

Learning media is a supporting tool in lerning activities. The use of learning media is intended to achieve learning objectives. In the material on the reaction rate, especially the factors that affect the reaction rate, there are practicum activities so thar with the learning media itnis hoped that students can more easily understand the practicum procedures. This researcher aims to design videos, create and test the feasibility of video media for chemistry lab work, especially the factors that affect the reaction rate for high school students. This media can be used as a means of supporting teaching and learning activities. This learning media is designed and made by combining various kinds of multimedia objects such as images and animation. Therefore teachers need audio visual media to make it easier for students to understand lerning. The researcher chose to use the o-matic Screencast media. O- matic Screencast media is the creation of short media that can explain the material in an interesting manner and students can master it independently. With the aim to produce learning media that is feasible and effective to use during learning and is used in independent study at home. The data collection method used in this study was a questionnaire used to obtain data on the validity of yhe media by media experts and material validation by material experts. Based on the results of the research and discussionn, it can be concluded that the practicum video media, especially the factors that affect the reaction rate, are feasible to use with the percentages of the two media experts 80% and 74%, respectively. Then for the material experts, respectively 885 and 92%. Thus the learning prosess using practicum video media through omatic screencast media is much better and interesting
