Abstract

Education is a process to influence students to be able to adapt as well as possible to the environment, so that it will cause changes in themselves that allow them to function adequately in people's lives. Teaching materials are one type of material used in the process of teaching and learning activities. The textbooks used are textbooks. The drawbacks of this package book are that there are no animations that attract students' interest in learning, there are no illustrations related to the material, so that it has an impact on student learning outcomes. In addition, the teacher has never compiled his own teaching materials, and the method used by the teacher is only lectures and lectures, so that students do not understand the material being taught. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the development of teaching materials on the buffer solution material for class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 South Solor, and to determine the response of students to teaching materials in the buffer solution material that had been developed in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 South Solor. The research method used is the research and development method which consists of several stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, initial product development, design validation, revision of teaching materials from validation results and limited trials. As for the validation results from the experts obtained, namely for the material aspect with a percentage of 85.29% with a very valid category, the media aspect with a percentage of 100% with a very valid category, and for a limited trial conducted a percentage of 92.04% of 23 students was obtained. with very good category.
