Abstract

This study aims to : (1) determine the effect of PhET learning media on students' physics learning media on the material of harmonic motion for class X Science during the Covid-19 pandemic, (2) determine the response of students to the PhET simulation learning media on the material of harmonic motion. class X IPA during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental research design with Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research sample was class X IPA 1 SMA NEGERI 5 KUPANG, with a total sample of 36 people. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests to determine student learning outcomes and questionnaires to determine student responses to PhET simulation media. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class average student learning outcomes, namely: the experimental class 79.1 and the control class 61.1. The use of PhET Simulation media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes students, (2) the response from students to PhET virtual media-based worksheets is very good. Thus, the use of PhET simulation media becomes one of the learning resources for students.
