Abstract

Ammu Rukoko is a traditional house. Ammu Rukoko built based on cultural elements that developed in the Sabu society. The peculiarity and uniqueness of Ammu Rukoko's form is a very interesting. The architecture of Ammu Rukoko contain mathematical concepts. This research aims to describe the mathematical concepts of Ammu Rukoko. The method of this research is qualitative research including qualitative descriptive and data analysis. The results of this study found two things, namely: (1) mathematical activities carried out by the this community in the process of making Ammu Rukoko, namely: measuring and calculating activities. (2) mathematical concepts in Ammu Rukoko, namely: the concept of an triangle on the Ketangarohe, a rectangle on the door and Papa Kelila, a semi-circle on Baja Duru and Baja Wui, congruence in Kijuaga and translation in Gela Mone and Gela banni. Based on this research, the Sabu society have carried out mathematical activities and applied mathematical concepts in the Ammu Rukoko culture
