Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted because the authors feel that online learning using the information search method is a solution to overcome the educational problems caused by the current Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the results of online mathematics learning by using the information search method. This research was conducted at SMPK St. Yoseph Kupang, the subject of the study consisted of six students, namely two high-ability students, two medium-capable students and two low-ability students for interview. The instrument in this study used tests and interview guidelines The results of this study are to determine the results of online learning using the information search method where students who are able to understand, apply mathematical concepts in solving social arithmetic problems and there is student interest in learning mathematics online using the information search method are categorized as high-ability students, while there are students who are categorized as moderately capable because in solving problems applying mathematical concepts there are several steps that are not written down and there are also some questions that are not done, and for students with low abilities who are less able to understand, put mathematical concepts in solving test questions.
