Abstract

This study aims to "describe thelearningoutcomes of students by applying the discovery learningmodel of the subject matter of simple harmonic motion in students of class X MIA 4 Kupang SMA Negeri 4 even semester 2018/2019." This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects in this study were teachers (researchers) and X MIA 4 students, amounting to 36 people. The research design used was One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The technique used to collect data in this study is observation, written test and questionnaire. The results of data analysis in this study generally include the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying the discovery learningwhich includes learningplanning to obtain an average score of 3.88, theimplementation of learningto obtain an average score of 3.95 and the learningevaluation plan to score an average 3.99 is included in the good category. Cognitive learningoutcomes indicators obtained an average proportion of 0.85, affective learningoutcomes indicators obtained a proportion of 0.92 and psychomotoriclearning outcomes indicators obtained a proportion of 0.90 including complete categories. Cognitive learning outcomes gained an average proportion of 0.80, affectivelearningoutcomes obtained a proportion of 0.99 and psychomotoriclearningoutcomes gained an average proportion of 0.98 including complete categories and responses of students tolearning activities by applying discovery learningto obtain proportions an average of 85% including a very good category. Based on the description, it was stated that the application of discovery learning models in the subject matter of simple harmonic motion in students of class X MIA 4 Kupang Senior High School Even Semester Academic Year 2018/2019 wasgood.
