Abstract

Pondok Indah Matani Kupang Housing (PIM Kupang) has 670 housing units that can generate movement towards activity centers such as offices, education, and others in the vicinity. This study aims to model the generation of movement and analyze what factors affect the generation of movement in the PIM Kupang housing so that anticipatory steps can be prepared in case of transportation problems caused by the construction of similar housing or population growth in the future. This study was conducted on 251 household heads who live in four areas of PIM housing types, namely: type 30, type 36, type 45 and type 54 by filling out the questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire were tabulated into independent variables and dependent variables, then analyzed using the SPSS22 program. Multiple linear regression equations were used to model the population trip generation based on several types of PIM housing. From the results of the model test, it was found that the generation of movement in four areas of housing types, namely: housing types 30,36,45 and 54 is strongly influenced by the number of family members (X1), the number of family members who work (X2), the number of family members who attend school. (X3), total income (X4), number of vehicle ownership (X5) and type of vehicle ownership (X6), with the regression model equation: house type 30, namely Y = 6.690+0.894 X1+ 1.192 X5, house type 36 is Y = 6.277+0.670 X1+0.791 X3+1.136 X5, house type 45 is Y = 4,999+0,534 X1+1,340 X2+0,285 X4+ ,595 X6 and house type 54 is Y = 4,000+1,000 X1+1,000 X2.
