Abstract
Traffic accidents are a widespread phenomenon, especially in large cities. Ranging from minor traffic accidents without injuries to serious traffic accidents that claimed human lives. Many traffic accidents that occur are caused by the negligence of the driver of both two-wheeled vehicles and four- wheeled vehicles. Factors that cause traffic accidents include drowsiness while driving, inattention, pressure from others, or poor road conditions. This condition requires efforts to reduce the number of accidents, and it is necessary to build an actual geographic information system for determining traffic accident prone locations. This study uses the Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS), to map accident- prone roads. By knowing these vulnerable points, appropriate special treatment can be carried out and the death rate from accidents that occur can be prevented and reduced, so that appropriate and targeted accident treatment can be carried out.
