Abstract

Contextual approachisa learning strategy that emphasizes learning activities that learners arefully, both physically andmentally. Contextualview that learningis notthe memorization process, but through the learning experiences through which students, theycan understand then ature and purpose of learning materials they experienced directly. Class room learning by applying contextual rather than asa placeto obtain information, but aplaceto make the process oftesting the data and information obtained from the learning materials experienced learners. The mainissue in this study ishow thesubject matter ofthe application of the contextual approach His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016 / 2017? In detail the problems in this study were: (1) How does the teacher's ability to manage the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang year 2016/2017 ? (2) How Learning Out come Indicators completeness by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017 ? (3) How does mastery learning out comes of students in learning by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017 ? (4) What is the response of students to the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017? The purpose of this study is to describe the results of a contextual approach to the subject matter of the application of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017. Detailed objectives of this studywere:(1) to describe the teacher's ability to manage learning activities with contextual approach subject matterof His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017; (2) Describe the completeness indicator results learning by applying a contextual approach subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017; (3) Describe the learning outcomes of students witha contextual approach subject matterof His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017; (4) to describe the response ofthe students to thelearning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of His form and substance on the learner class VIIA semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017. Type ofresearchis adescriptive study and the subject ofthis studyis the teacher (researcher) and the students of class VIIA SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang academic year 2016/2017, amounting to 27 people. Learning deviceused is learner teaching materials, syllabus, lesson plan, student works heets, grilles and achievement test. Research data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study is the observations heet management of learning by applying a contextual approach subject matter his form and substance, achievement test (product andauthentic assessment) and form response learners. Techniques of data analysis of this research is descriptive analysis by calculating the average value, percentages, and proportions. Based onthe results ofa descriptive analysis oft he data showed that the general application of the contextual approac his good for the subject matter of his form and substance in the class room learners VIIA SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang, amounting to 27 people. Obtained detailed teacher's ability to manage the learning subject matter physics effort and energy that includesless on planning, implementation and evaluation of learning is learning well. Indicators oflearning out comes prepared sevenin dicators are all finished products. Learning out comes of students in the classsaid tocomplete the productaspect, authentic assessment and response learners so that the application ofa contextual approach to the subject matter of his form and substance very well
