Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an ornot the effect of contextual learning models on mathematics learning achievement of junior high school students. The sample in this study was class VIII students, amounting to 30 people. The data used in this study are data on the value of the pretest andposttest of the contextual learning experimental class. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS version 22.0 program. before testing the hypothesis, a prerequisite test was carried out, namely the normality test for pretest data and posttest data. From the results of analysis for data This shows that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2 -tailed) = 0.151> 0.05 = α and D_count = 0.138 <0.242 = D table. Therefore, it can be concluded that H_0 is accepted. While the posttest data obtained asymp. Sig value. (2 -tailed) = 0.075 and D_count. = 0.152. This shows that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2 -tailed) = 0.075> 0.05 = α and D_count = 0.152 <0.242 = D_tabel. Therefore, it can be concluded that H_0 is accepted.Hypothesis testing uses a paired sample test, after thedata is analyzed, the value of Sig (2-tailed = 0,000 <0,05 and t_count = 16,282> 2,045 = t_table), then reject Ha, so that there is a significant influence of the contextual type cooperative learning model on Student mathematics learning achievement The results of this study indicate that the contextual learning model effect students' mathematics learning achievement, therefore, the authors suggest that teachers use contextual type cooperative learning in learning in accordance with the material to be taught.
