Abstract

Mosquitoes are insects that often makes people disrupted due to the bite. One of the dangers caused by a mosquito bite is a wide variety of diseases that can even cause death. Data from the Department of Health specifically for NTT noted that the city of Kupang, the average clinical malaria cases from the year 2014-2015 to 181 cases per 1,000 person-years, even in 2014 reached 205 cases per 1,000 persons per year. Health Department this one of the government agencies that actively socialize in providing information about health, one of the dangers of mosquitoes. But the media used in the socialization is still a media presentation of the usual, such as via the posters or leaflets that socialization is done in the community is still simple and socialization has yet to reach out to all people who still lack knowledge dangers of mosquitoes, while there are many types of diseases caused by a variety of different types of mosquitoes. The method that will be used in the design is a multimedia development phase method includes the step of Concept, Design, Materials Collecting, Assembly, Testing and Distribution. The implementation results in the form of animation to attract the general public to obtain information about the types of mosquitoes, diseases caused, prevention and treatment and help medical workers to more easily and effectively in the process of delivering information.
