Abstract

Discovery learning model is a model for developing active learners learn how to find their own, investigating itself, the results obtained will be loyal and long-lasting in the memory, will not be easily forgotten learners. A common problem in this study is the result of applying the model How discovery learning material for heat and displacement of VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Semester Academic Year 2017/2018 Kupang?". Specifically problem in this research is: 1) How does a teacher's ability to manage the learning activities subject matter of heat and displacement on VIIF grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang 2017/2018 school year by implementing a discovery learning model? 2) How completeness indicator of learning outcomes (IHB) VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 in the learning of the subject matter of displacement by applying heat and discovery learning model? 3) How can learning outcomes IPA VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 in the learning of the subject matter of displacement by applying heat and discovery learning model? 4) How are the response VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 to the subject matter of learning activities displacement by applying heat and discovery learning model? The main objective of this research is: Describe Results of Application Discovery Learning Model Main Material Heat and The move on VIIE Grade Students of SMPN 3 Kupang Semester Academic Year 2017/2018 ". Specifically, the purpose of this research is 1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage the learning activities subject matter of heat and displacement on VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang 2017/2018 school year by implementing a discovery learning model. 2) Describe the completeness indications of learning outcomes (IHB) VIIF grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 in the learning of the subject matter of displacement by applying heat and discovery learning model. 3) Describe the learning outcomes of Integrated Sciences VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 in the learning of the subject matter of displacement by applying heat and discovery learning model. 4) Describe the response VIIE grade students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 to the subject matter of the learning activities of heat and displacement by applying the model of discovery learning. This type of research is described. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of class VIIE SMP Negeri 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 34 people. Techniques used in data collection are observation, tests and questionnaires. Learning device used in this study is the Instructional Materials Students, lesson plans, Worksheet Students and louvers Test Learning Outcomes. While the instrument used in this study is the Observation Sheet Management Learning, discovery learning model, Learning Outcomes Test (product, affective and psychomotor), Sheets Assessment of affective and psychomotor and Spreadsheet Response of Students. Data analysis technique of this research is descriptive analysis (by calculating the average score, proportions and percentages). Based on the results of descriptive analysis shows that the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying the discovery learning model that includes lesson planning, implementation and evaluation of learning of learning is included in both categories. Indicators of learning outcomes prepared largely completed. The study of students prepared largely completed. While the response of students to the learning process by applying the discovery learning model are in the very good category. Based on the above, it was revealed that the subject matter of discovery learning model Heat and displacement is applied properly in class VIIE students of SMPN 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018.
