Abstract

Thesis title: The effectiveness of the application of behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline. The problems studied in this study are 1) Why is the behavior contract technique through group counseling services used to improve student learning discipline? 2) What is the procedure for applying behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline? 3) Is the use of behavior contract techniques through group counseling services effective to improve learning discipline for 1) Knowing the reasons for using behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline. 2) Knowing the procedure for applying the behavior contract technique through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline. 3) Knowing the effectiveness of the application of behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline. Literature study study method. The object of this research study is the behavior contract technique, group counseling and student learning discipline. This study uses secondary data sources and the type of data is qualitative data. The results of the discussion are: 1) The behavior contract technique through group counseling services can be used to improve students' learning discipline because in the behavior contract technique through group counseling services, students and group leaders agree that students will perform a new behavior that is different from the previous behavior. 2) The procedure for using the behavior contract technique through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline is carried out through 5 stages, namely: a) the formation stage, b) the transition stage, c) the activity stage: select behavior by conducting ABC analysis, determine the initial data (baseline data) the behavior to be changed, establishing an agreement between the counselor and the client, making an agreement or contract of behavior to be carried out, determining the type of reinforcement to be applied, after the desired behavior appears and persists the reinforcement will still be given. d) conclusion stage, e) closing stage. 3) The effectiveness of using the behavior contract technique through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline is supported by the results of Reswastiyo and Rahmi's research, as well as the results of Afridiana's research. Based on the above discussion, the authors give suggestions to: 1) BK teachers are expected to improve skills in using behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline. 2) Observers of BK problems are expected to examine and examine more deeply about the behavior contract technique through group counseling services so that it can be used to improve student learning discipline. 3) Authors are expected to broaden their horizons and concepts regarding the use of behavior contract techniques through group counseling services to improve student learning discipline.
