Abstract

Profile of career planning and its implications for career guidance programs (quantitative descriptive study of class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri Silawan in the academic year 2021/2022). Research problems: a) What is the career planning profile of class VIIIA students at SMP Negeri Silawan in the 2021/2022 academic year? b) What are the implications of career planning profiles for students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri Silawan in the 2021/2022 academic year for the career guidance program? The purpose of this research is to find out: a) Profile of career planning for class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri Silawan for the academic year 2021/2022. b) Implications of career planning profiles for students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri Silawan for the academic year 2021/2022 for career guidance programs. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire.The data analysis technique uses the central tendency formula. The calculation results are known = 131.26, SB = 13.08, and GB = 3 these calculations are compared with the normal distribution table for z prices at a significance level of 1%. From the results of the consultation, it is known that the value (μ = mu) is between - (2.58 x GB) - X+ (2.58 x GB). Thus, the minimum value at the 1% significance level is 131.26 - (2.58 x 3) = 131.26 – 7.74 = 123.52 rounded up to 124 . Maximum value = 131.26 + (2.58 x 23) = 131.26 + 7.74 = 139. From the calculation above, it is obtained that a minimum = 124 and a maximum of 139, so the average score of the career planning aspect of class VIIIA students at SMP Negeri Silawan is: (124 +139 )/2 = 131.5. Based on the above calculation, the average career planning of students in class VIIIA of SMP Negeri Silawan for the academic year 2021/2022 is 131 which is between the score range of 115-149, so it can be interpreted that the career planning profile of students in class VIIIA of SMP Negeri Silawan in the academic year 2021/2022 is included in the high category. It can be concluded that class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri Silawan for the academic year 2021/2022 already have good career planning. Based on the results of the research data analysis as described above, the researcher proposes suggestions to the relevant parties: a) Principals: it is expected to increase cooperation with BK teachers, facilitate and support all career guidance programs in schools so that they are carried out properly in order to maintain good student career planning. b) BK teachers: are expected to design and develop career guidance service programs that are more responsive to fire in order to maintain students' career planning that is already good. c) Subject Teachers: it is hoped that further collaboration with BK teachers will continue to provide information about students who have problems related to career planning to be followed up in career guidance services. d) Students: are expected to actively utilize the career guidance services provided by BK teachers to maintain their good career planning.
